2025 New Year’s Resolutions: Burn Bright or Flame Out

Here we go. Are you ready for another trip around the sun?

The Earth has taken billions of trips around the sun, depending on how old you consider our planet.

Experts say whether you commit your New Year’s resolutions to pen and paper or, in today’s digital world, post them to a social media platform where interested individuals will see your aspirations.

Writing down goals the old-fashioned way or digitally posting them will give you a better chance of success than keeping them as mental notes.

Resolutions

Please look closely at all New Year’s resolutions; they are aspirations.

Unless you take action and accomplish your resolutions over the next trip around the sun, they will slowly fade away in the darkness of the night, entering the black hole of unfulfilled goals.

Everyone has their resolutions, and I don’t expect them to keep track of my 2025 resolutions.

You might think I have given Rick 60 seconds of my time, but other than writing them down; he is not sharing any other methods or processes for sticking to my resolutions—a big thanks. (tongue in cheek)

Sharing stories behind incredible children’s book authors’ adventures in 2025!!

Explaining how Children’s Book Authors have brought their children’s books to life.

I do not know any children’s book authors I interviewed who have made a New Year’s resolution to write and publish a children’s book.

My podcast, Adventures in the Heart of Children’s Book Authors, features authors who took action and accomplished the task of publishing their children’s books.

The story behind their story of taking action and making their possible as a Children’s Book Author.

Do I have a resolution as a Children’s Book Author podcaster? Yes, but like most children’s book authors, it will not start at the beginning of the new year.

Although I started my Children’s Book Authors podcast in 2024, the first nine episodes taught me enough skills to interview children’s book authors besides my family. I am creating a podcast dedicated to introducing children’s book readers and aspiring children’s book authors to children’s book authors.

2025 New Year’s Resolutions: Burn Bright or Flame Out

In early December 2024, I decided that Done is better than Perfect!

On December 6, 2024, I introduced the first of these Children’s Book Authors.

I aim to publish a Children’s Book Author podcast with 52 episodes within the year, one new episode every week with the caveat of some flexibility. I am firm on 52 episodes, but one weekly is where I added a little grey.

In December 2024, I published two episodes and will play catch-up episodes of three through most of 2025.

My new year starts by publishing my next podcast episode on January 2, 2025.

I am excited about this episode because it features an interview with my first mother-and-son writing team, Lynn and Jonathan Greenberg, who discuss the many facets behind their book, Robby the Dyslexic Taxi and the Airport Adventure.

If you read this blog post before January 2, 2025, please click on this link and get an early listen. (Episode 10)

This episode has the following listen to key takeaways.

Takeaways:

• The motivation behind writing Robbie the Dyslexic Taxi stemmed from personal family experiences with Dyslexia.
• Joint efforts during the pandemic created a children’s book project.
• Robbie’s character was inspired by John’s experience with Dyslexia and the support from his family.
• The book aims to generate conversations about differences, fostering understanding among children.
• Self-publishing options allowed the authors to reach a wider audience during COVID-19.
• The Creative Cab Company symbolizes creativity in neurodiversity, highlighting diverse ways of thinking.

Happy Holidays, and see you all in the New Year. Cheers!
